We seek to be planted where the youth are, so they may truly know Jesus and the hope found in Him!

BOLDM Crew
If you haven't checked out our other page, we explain how BOLDM Crew is the main project God entrusted to us in San José!​

This is our ministry site that allows for ongoing discipleship and establishes a group of youth who may experience going on outreaches to other communities with us!​​​​

The Nest
Talamanca, Limón, CR
We have been partnering with The Nest since we began in 2022! It was the first door God opened for us as BOLDM to give dance workshops to the indigenous BriBri youth of Upper Talamanca. ​
​
The Nest's mission is to provide a safe refuge for children, where they can experience Jesus' love and be protected from situations of abuse.
​​
Abuse in the home, especially sexual abuse or incest, is sadly a reality for many boys and girls living higher in the mountains of Talamanca. Dance is an instrument to counter the possible long-term effects of trauma, like dissociation and social anxieties, among other holistic benefits. Dance brings a connectedness & reconciliation to one's body in the present, allows for healthy & fun interactions in community, and provides a creative outlet to connect with God & express themselves to their Heavenly Father.

We lead the Easter Camp here every year and hope to serve during their school's vacation days in January & July.

Cristo en el Centro
Barrio Nuevo, Curridabat, San José, CR
This was a partnership made with our missionary friend, Estera, who also began her own ministry in the "precarios" (slums) in San José. They normally host English classes and Kid's Programming weekly at this local church, among other locations.
​
Athough the pastor at this church site is not open to dance programs yet, we help on some Saturdays to give the Bible study to these youth! However, we always like to begin with a fun praise song, along with guided movements.
​
Occasionally, we help host Kid's Camps here, to support their ministry's mission and have more days of impact.
​
The main issues youth face in this slum relate to extreme poverty, dangers of gangs, abuse, and violence. These are cycles that we believe can be broken as Christ's light shines through!
​
We hope to continue to grow in relationship with these kids, in nourishment in God's Word, and in understanding of their Heavenly Father's love for them. We know He is bringing healing, restoration, and salvation to this neighborhood.​​​​

Cristo para la Ciudad
Tirrases, San José, CR
INACTIVE (Project during 2023-2024)
Tirrases is another slum that God put on our hearts to lead dance programs. We taught weekly classes of Open Style & Ballet classes, and some Break Dance, at our partnership site with Christ for the City.
​​​
After the dance classes, we stayed for the boy's youth group gathering, where there is time for fellowship and Bible study.​
​
Many youth face difficult circumstances in their homes here with the effects of poverty & abuse, along with strong influences of drugs, alcohol, gangs, & violence among teenagers. We pray BOLDM can continue ministering in this neighborhood in the future to provide an opportunity for them to be involved in positive art activities, and to receive from Jesus!

Join us in prayer, that Christ's love may continue to flourish in each dancer, making a change in their lives, families, and communities! ​​​​​​​​​​​

Proyecto AdorARTE
Los Guido, San José, CR
INACTIVE (Project during 2023)
This project was created in partnership with our friend Raquel, leader of the foundation Forjando Carácter. What a blessing it was to be able to serve the youth from Jordy's hometown!​
​
The core project vision was to bring youth to Christ through the arts (including other classes, like painting and music), so that they may learn how to WORSHIP God through the arts, and in their daily living.
​
We gave weekly hip-hop and jazz classes, always beginning our time with a Bible reflection. We witnessed so much talent and creativity in these kids! Though we are no longer active here, we hope to be able to bring dance programs to this slum again.
​
Families in Los Guido face strong situations of poverty, dysfunctional families, high-school dropouts to work for an income early, teenage pregnancies, and mindset limitations of achieving goals beyond a baseline education.
Many of these youth did not yet go to church, so another end goal was to get them connected to a local church for long-term spiritual nourishment and growth.
